It is a better idea. If you choose to put door or not totally depends on you. The living habits differ from person to person and they use house according their own style of living.
Advantages for fixing door

If you feel some problem by providing door, the shutter of the door should be kept open for all the time.

Its always advisable to have a door to the closet wheather its attached to the bedrm or not..If its not closed their will be many drawbacks such as :lack of security,lack of aesthetics,messy closet will make a bad impression....n so on...
