Most of the builders, contractors, carpenters do not care about healthier home because there is lack of awareness about bad effects on health for using some finishing materials in home. However sensitive people with allergy or respiratory problems want to use toxic free, non sticky to dust and noxious etc. finishing material in houses. The following finishing materials should be used to prevent above problems. 1. Try to have minimum offsets and joints in the house so that the dust could not accumulate in the house. 2. Use wooden flooring, vinyl flooring, ceramic tile flooring and marble flooring to prevent dust problem as some roughly finished floors and carpets accumulate dust. 3. Use toxic free high quality medium density fiber board in wood work. 4. Make use of pressed wood laminated on both sides which effectively seals gases. 5. Use solid wood i..e. Dense, exterior grade and pressed wood in wood work. 6. Apply granite which is safe material. 7. Prefer the furniture with fastener instead of glue. 8. Avoid heavy wallpaper fixed with glue backing, as glue releases gases. 9. Use latex type paint which is less noxious than oil based paint.
Thankyou.Goodluck. |
