| what materials are best to be used while making a staircase in a bungalow?
i have a project where i need to design a staircase...near the entrance area....so wud like to know which material wud b cheap and best to construct the area...at the same time must b sturdy...n hassle free...not dangerous...like wood...n wud also like to knoe what materials to b used to making rails?

The best materials for construction of staircase are following.
1 Cement
2 Coarse Aggregate (Bajri)
3 Fine Aggregate (Coarse Sand)
4 Mild Steel
The stair steps should be constructed as independent steps finished with marble stone steps horizontally and vertically. The tread of steps with marble stone slab may have nosing including round face.
Material for Railing
There are three types of stair railing according to the material.
1 Mild Steel: Vertical bluster of mild steel square bar is fixed with the steps of the stair and top of railing is welded with M S flat having holes. The wooden hand rail is fixed on the M S flat having steel screws.
2 Wooden Railing: Wooden bluster is fixed on M S flat pieces which are left in stair steps. Wooden hand rail is fixed on the wooden blusters.
3 Aluminum Railing: Aluminum blusters are fixed in RCC steps and the aluminum hand rail is fixed on the top of aluminum bluster.
