| Require a rough estimate on house construction(chennai)
Hi,
I am planning to construct a house in chennai(fast developing suburbs). We plan to construct a 1500(g) + 1500(1st floor).The total land area is 2400sq.ft and is a corner plot.The ground floor will use medium quality specifications and is meant for renting out. The first floor is to be self-occupied and needs to use good quality specifications. Can you please give us a rough estimate(+/- 2lacs is ok) that we can expect for this construction?

The cost of house construction depends on the specification used for the house. It depends on the type of flooring, type of wood, finishing of external wall etc. The cost also depends on design and elevation of the house. The tentative cost for the area supplied by you following general specifications comes out to Rs. 24 Lacs.
For further details on calculation of cost click on the link the link for ‘Cost Estimator’ given below. Through cost estimator you can calculate the cost of each item stepwise according to required specification. The cost given in estimator is for one SFT area of the house.
