You may also use crasher sand in place of river sand in construction work however you should keep in mind that at some places even the crasher sand may be more expensive than the river sand itself.    We advise you should not use low quality sand as it reduce the strength of the structure . The cost of sand in construction work is nominal compared to the cost of cement but the effect of the sand on the structure strength is from 10 to 20% so we advise you that you should purchase the best quality sand available.
