Guest room is one the most creative spaces in a home. With some creative planning you can change any space into a comfortable room for your guests. Comfort is the key to decorate the guestroom. The best way to start is to think about amenities that you enjoy in a hotel room or at a friend’s home.

Decorate the guest room like a luxury hotel room

• Give your guests a queen size bed with pillows and blankets nearby for easy access. Air mattress is good solution because it can be stored in a closet when not in use.
• Use clean, crispy and fresh linens for inviting look. Put a lavender sachet below the cushion for relaxed sleep.
• Provide a reading light and comfortable armchair near the bed. The fixtures of light control should always be in easy access.
• Make a wardrobe empty for clothing storage having extra hangers and bare shelves.
• Make one or two drawers empty or place a decorative tray for small items such as wrist watch, keys, jewellery etc.
• Do not use dark colors. The blue used with a combination of white can harmonize guest room. Color combination can make a big difference in a guest room.
• Put some reading and writing material such as magazines, novel, books, papers, pen etc. on the table.
• Make sure that you have placed all the essential things like towel, shampoo, soap, tissue, alarm clock in the room in advance.
• Put TV on the table. If your guest room has TV, it will be appreciated by your guests.
• Place a bouquet of fresh flowers and living plants for elegant look.
