It’s really superb if you have a separate location for Temple in your home. Due to limited space Temple may be located in any area except bedroom. According to Vastu best suitable location for Temple in the building is the East, North or North-East quadrant of the house. It should never be in the South. If the worship room is of the shape of a pyramid, it is auspicious.
In the Temple-
• The idols and pictures of the deities should be placed in the East and the West but not in South corner of the Temple. It is ideal that the deities should face west direction and worshiper or face east.
• Agni kund should be in the South-east direction of the temple.
• Pooja kalash of water should be in the North-east direction of the Temple.
• The doors and windows of the Temple should be in the North or the East.
• Temple should not be in the bedroom or in front of the entrance gate.
• Temple should not be above or below the toilet, kitchen, sink or under cooking area, in a store.
• Blue, white and light yellow colors are preferred for temple because these colors bring peace of mind. Lamp stand should be in the South-East or East direction of the temple. Kalash and Agni Kund should be in the East direction.
