Oil bound distemper can be applied by using air compressor.
Efficient methods to apply oil bound distemper
On new Surface 1. A painting work should be done after drying of the wall. 2. The specified primer should be sprayed over the surface in an even and uniformed layer. 3. When surface is dry, spray painting should be done in uniform and even layer as per requirement of the coats. 4. Spraying should be done only when dry condition prevails. 5. During spray, spray gun should be held perpendicular to the surface to be coated and should be passed over the surface in a uniform sweeping motion. 6. Different air pressure and fan adjustment should be tried so as to obtain best application. 7. The air pressure should not be kept very high otherwise the paint will fog up and will be wasted.
On old surface 1. The surface should be washed to remove dust and dirt. 2. A mild detergent solution like soap water should be used for washing and the surface should also be rubbed down lightly with abrasive paper when dry. 3. Any patches appearing on the surface should be touched up first with a coat of paint. These patches should be allowed to dry. The surface should be rubbed down lightly and be cleaned. 4. The other process of spray painting is same as described above in points from 4-7 for new surface.
