The charges of shuttering depend on the following factors.

1.    The number of items of shuttering such as shuttering plates, wooden batten and wooden ballies used in shuttering.

2.    Rates of hire charges of the different materials per day.

3.    Period/days for which the shuttering material is kept in use.

As you have mentioned that you want to calculate charges of shuttering per sq. ft. taking the area of shuttering = 100 sq. ft. and size of shuttering plate is 2 ft x 2ft. The material used in 100 sq.ft. Shuttering is given below.

1.    Shuttering Plate =100 sq. ft.

2.    Wooden Batten 10 ft long=6 nos.

3.    Wooden Ballies= 6 x 3 =18 nos.

·       Shuttering plate= 0.60 Rs. Per sq.ft. per day

·       Wooden Batten 10ft long= 2 Rs per piece per day

·       Wooden Ballies= 0.40 Rs. Each per day

Supposing that the shuttering material is used for 15 days, the amount comes out as follows.

1.                Shuttering plate= 100 sq.ft.  x 0.60 x 15 = 900 Rs.

2.                Wooden Batten= 6 x 2 x 15 = 180 Rs.

3.                Wooden Ballies = 18 x 0.40 x 15 = 108 Rs.

Total = 900 + 180 + 108 = 1188.00 Rs.

Hence shuttering per sq. ft. = 1188/100 = 11.88 Rs. Per sq. ft.

The rates, hire charges may be vary from place to place. It also depends on the time to be taken for using shuttering material and the size of area for which shuttering is used such as in more area, the rates calculated above will be less.
