Question details

How do I decide on the right flooring for my entryway and kitchen?
My entry way currently has linoleum that is the same as my kitchen.  The eating area is between the entry and the kitchen - that is hardwood.  I need to replace the linoleum - but with what?  You can see the carpet in the living room and family room from the entry - it is light brown.  Right now, you can see 4 styles of flooring and it drives me crazy.  I want something that will blend with the rest.

Hey Crystal,

You may consider one of the following floors for your entry way and kitchen.
1. PVC Vinyl flooring: It is calendared, laminated, solid, resilient, unbreakable and flexible flooring. PVC vinyl flooring has properties of high wear resistance and resilience. It is ideal for maintaining clean condition. The thickness available is 1.5 mm and 2 mm and it is available in rolls and tiles.
2. Rubber flooring:  This flooring is a mixture of raw rubber, fillers such as fiber, cork etc. and pigment. A small percentage of sulphar is added to accelerate the process of vulcanization. The material is available in sheets or tiles in a variety of colors.
3. Kota Stone Flooring:  This flooring is laid with Kota stone. The stones are available in tiles of different sizes and thickness. It is generally available in Grey color. It can easily be laid on hard base with cement mortar.
4. Ceramic tile flooring: This type of flooring is extensively used now a day. Ceramic tiles are available in many sizes, colours and designs. These tiles have certain excellent properties which are following.
• strong
