Yes, it’s possible to build a house in a plot facing to the North. According to Vastu, North facing plot is good for residence. It brings prosperity and wealth.
The rules of Vastu applicable on construction are following:
Open Space: More open space should be left blank in the North and East of the house. The Southwest corner of house should not be left open.
Entrance: The entrance of north facing house should be in the Northeast or North of the house.
Water Sump: Water sump should be built in Northern or Eastern part of the house.
Center of House (Brahmasthan): The center of a house should always be left empty. No room should be built at this place. No heavy furniture should be kept in the center of the house.
Stair Case: Stair case should be constructed in the South or West portion of the house.
Over Head Tank: Over Head tank should be in South portion of the house.
Kitchen: Kitchen should be in Southeast of the house. Kitchen in northwest is also acceptable in Vastu.
Bedroom: Master bedroom should be constructed in Southwest portion of the house. Children’s bedroom should be in the west portion of the house.
Pooja Room: Northern and eastern portion of house is good for ‘Pooja’ room.
Bathroom/Toilet: Bathroom can be constructed in North-west or west portion of the house. It should not be constructed in North-east.
