Colored concrete floor

 Happy dipawali to all of you in advance!!!

Now , Coming to my question. I decided to put colored cement concrete floor. I would be using TATA floor colors

My mason said that he will put concrete mix in the panels and later put float coat (white cement + floor color+ water mixture) of about 6 to 8mm thick layer so that floor can be grinded a little bit by machine and polished for shining. float coat is called panna in some areas.

Now my question is 

1. Is it practical or possible to put 8mm thick colored float coat? because I have read somewhere that cement has no bonding properties then how such a thick float will bond itself to the floor?

2. how much time is needed between freshly poured concrete and to put float coat of pure cement-color slurry?

**I dont want to use marble powder as bonding agent in float coat as it may affect where i would be putting only white cement slurry for pure white floor?

3. is it practical to put pure white cement float coat for white floor? any drawbacks in future?
