Colored concrete floor

Hi everyone, Happy dipawali to all of you in advance!!!Now , Coming to my question. I decided to put colored cement concrete floor. I would be using TATA floor colorsMy mason said that he will put concrete mix in the panels and later put float coat (white cement + floor color+ water mixture) of about 6 to 8mm thick layer so that floor can be grinded a little bit by machine and polished for shining.
