 Topic: Electrical Wiring

Dear Sir,

I am constrcuting a house in Kerala .My collegue is recomending to use 2.5mm wire for all electrcial fitting and 4.5 mm for all sockects. Is he right? pls advice.

Which brand of wire should i select?

Which  brand should i go for distribtuion boards?

Do i require to install a lighting protector?

       You friend is right, For 20 AMP load use 12 gauge or 2.64 mm wire and from 45 to 60 AMP 8 to 6 gauge or 4.06 to 4 .88 mm wire is to be use.
  Use copper wire of reputed brand I S I mark.
 Lightening protection is necessary.
