The issue is only in your flat or in all? The issue is in all walls on only 1? Install tiles till roof if possible.

Join date: Mar 2008 | Dear Patel First of all see this seepage problem is only in your flat or on your upper or down word side flat. Tile fixing is no solution to the problem as moisture go up side due to capillary action, Find out the root cause of seepage. Seepage may be due to leakage in water supply pipe line or leakage in toilet block, or leakage in rain water pipe fixed in wall or leakage from top roof during rainy season or overflow of water taken.

Join date: Nov 2012 | Dear Shri Jay Praksh and Shri Guptaji, At the outset, thanks so very much for your responses. The problem of leakages is being faced in almost all the flats of the tower, which is 8 storied building, whereas mine is 6th Floor. You are absolutely right Guptaji, that we need to find out the root cause of the leakages problem.I thought of a proposal wherein ,all the concealed water lines are made non operational (within the flat's toilets) and install new Open lines,so that if the dampness in walls is caused by leakages from within the walls it can be arrested. Pls. give your valued opinion on the same. Also, suggest some alternative remdial measure. If required,I can forward the requisite snaps for your reference. Thanks once again.

Join date: Mar 2008 | Dear Patel In my opinion first contact any good plumber and see that what solution or short coming or problem he finds after inspecting the house or flats..After that go for alternate solution of open pipe line. Also check that in toilet mainly where Indian WC are fixed leakage in WC and P or S trap joints start and damaging the adjoining wall. Also see that seepage is continue or increase or decrease as per rainy season. Do proper exercise before doing any solution.
