As compared to an internal column, a corner column carries less load and therefore less steel is required in corner columns.
It is very likely that the additional bars are near the center lines of columns and therefore there will be no pull-out action on these bars. In such a situation, a nominal connection to footing will suffice.
As for the load from water tank, its shape, size and location will determine the slab steel. In general, it is preferable to place tank near beams / walls.
I am not a vastu expert but I did a check and found that one of the columns falls right at Brahm Sthan which is to be avoided.

First of all thank you very much for the answer and spending your valuable time for me.As of now the pillars are already constructed and hence I can not change the bramhastana pillar. Even if the builder have constructed the pillar according to original plan, it would be in the same area. Are there any alternatives for this?
Also can some one answer my 2nd question about 16mm bars and weight.

Adding to Mr. Rudra's statements, do place the water tank over a 9" wall/column.
Do tell your contractor/builder to leave additional lengths of steel projecting out of the roof as you have suggested that you may go for an additional storey construction in the future. | |
