Is it neceesary to have many windows and doors in kitchen as I have got only one door and one window in my kitchen

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear veena One window and one door is sufficent for kitchen with one exaust fan independently or in ventilator.

ravi at Dalmia Join date: Oct 2011	Hi Veena, 1 door is all one should have for a kitchen, you can have an small window type opening to the dinning room for if its connected with the wall. The windows can be maximum 2 but 1 would be enough.

PR Jawahar Join date: Sep 2011	Post subject: Electric chimney is the best Hi Veena, In my experience an electric chimney (60cm width) directly over the cooking hob is the best as compared to the extract fan. Earlier I used to have an extract fan & over the period the wall and the fan used to get extremely oily which is difficult to clean. An electric chimney on the contrary sucks out the oil fumes immediately and cleaning of the filter of this chimney at regular intervals helps us greatly n keeping our kitchen clean. I am very happy with the electric chimney as compared to the extract fan we used to have.
