is room storage slab in the wrong position?

Topic: is room storage slab in the wrong position?

Inside the room a slab was made long before for the storage of all the extra blanket and extra pillows and bags so those are kept there, it looks odd to me. does having a storage like this in this position causes any negative effect in anyway in the room? also there is a beam above the bed and i'm planning to place false ceiling or move my bed. But knowing the answer of the slab-storage question would be easier for me to decide what to do next.
