if the wardrobes are still not completed, then you can think of putting wallpapers (jute / cork type) on some of the wardrobe doors, instead of using veneer. For ex: if you have 3 wardrobes (i.e. 3*2 = 6 doors), you can probably put the wall paper on the 2nd wardrobe doors (2 doors).
for making the bedroom larger... 1. paint the walls in light color shades 2. if possible put white tiles / marble flooring. 3. use white lights instead of warm yellow lighting 4. strategically place large mirrors to give an illusion that room is larger 5. ensure the curtains are light shaded and have long/vertical stripes

Hi Preeti, For making bedroom look larger, first of all I would like to draw your attention for not using Mirrors in bedroom. Because, according to vastu shashtra mirrors creates very negative energies in bedrooms and are very much harmful to our body, so please do not use mirrors in bedroom. You can use other alternatives like 1. Using light color paints on walls. 2. Avoid using designed and dark wall papers. 3. Use light colored tiles for flooring. And after all send me the clear photographs of your bedroom, to suggest perfect idea. Regards Ravi

With small sized homes, apartments, dressing tables find place in the bedroom itself so if you already have a dressing in the room it would probably not hurt to add another big mirror on the wall to make it look larger

Join date: Nov 2011 | Hi Preethi, As many have illustrated, using light colour on walls and floor gives a bigger look to the room. if u have wardrobes...the use of mirrors on the doors of the wardrobe is a good option. The windows if present the frames of which also can be lighter ..if it is a painted frame. what abt the veneers that already exists..is it of a lighter shade? and if you wish to chose a colour for the alternate walls, pls see to it, it really goes with the veeneered surface, A wall scenery can give an illusionary space to the room as well....v get beautiful wall posters...from aqua to beach blue sky....this might also break the monotomy . Good luck preethi
