How to remove polythene sheets from old concrete ceiling

Topic: How to remove polythene sheets from old concrete ceiling

The ceiling of our house was not plastered since 15 years.

But the polythene sheet was not removed then. Now the polythene is not getting removed easily or it is breaking like Papad. Brushing is not helping.

So please suggest a way-out to remove polythene sheets from old concrete ceiling.

Er.S.K.Jain Join date: May 2015	If concrete and polythene left from more than one month it is not easy to remove it. You left for 15 years so now the polythene removal completely is not possible. you remove by wire brush as much as possible and after that chipping on concrete surface than apply neat cement after that spray some corse sand over it than plastered.

JAI PRAKASH Join date: May 2014	Why to remove it? You can go for finishing now like POP not plaster if you want.

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear You should first wet the ceiling and remove the polythene sheet by wire burnishing. After that do all process as suggested by Sh SK Jain.

P.K.SAMAL Join date: Dec 2015	Post subject: remove s polytheneheets from old concrete ceiling At the time of removed centering polythenesheets was not removed.After six months we are facing lot of problems to remove it.Kindly suggest me procedure of removeing polytheneheets . Is there any chemical to solve this problems.
