 Topic: water dampness
we have constructed house 13 years before and we used natural material t on top floor terrace to stop leakage rain water .we also used small bricks ,cement mortar added with natural resin. so far no problem and recently seen dampness on first floor ceiling during rainy season. it seen most of the areas. what is the remedy? can i repair full terrace or using coating? what type of coating ? kindly guide me

         In my opinion the roof terrace slope has been disturbed and due to this drainage of rain water is not proper and there will be small pockets of water on roof during rains.Secondly there may be leakage on the mouth of rain water pipes, there may be cracks in the terrace top layer and joint leakage with parapet wall.
FOR TREATMENT
  hire good mason and after dismantle the top layer of brick tile, laid them again in proper slope and repair the rain water pipe mouth well.
