Flooring

i want to have natural stone flooring in my home.Is jaisalmer stone a good option? i was told that jaisalmer is not practical as it absorbs water is soft stone & in case oil falls on it the stains remain.Also absorbs dust It requires lot of cleaning & maintenance . So it is used only in star hotels as they continuously keep cleaning & not practical for home use. pl advise.
