Cement Block Floor Slab

Is it possible to replace using concrete material as a floor slab by laying cement blocks on a rammed earth surface laid with a layer of cement screed?I have attached a detail of how I think this system of construction worksI am however unsure of its implication structurally and would like feedbacks.
