rcc roof thickness and tmt bar size

What is the recommended thickness of flat rcc roof for 1300sqft house with max. room size 13x14ft with load bearing walls? Is it ok using 8mm and 6mm tmt bars for whole work? Or should I use 10mm/12mm bars for invisible beams through the centre rcc roof of large rooms?.

Whats the max. room size for rcc flat roof without beams?

What is maximum room size that support rcc roof without beam in between and load bearing walls. I've also seen that in some places of rcc roof steel bars are provided in box form instead of mesh...will it act as small beam without projections? If yes, up to what room size we can use it instead of actual beam?.

Requirement for beams for RCC roof - Plan attached..

I've given the labor contract of my house construction to a contractor who is not engineer but have >30 year experience in house construction and work quality is also good. I'm here to clear technical doubt regrading the beam requirement for the rcc flat roof. Is home made concrete bricks safe?

I'm in search for good quality concrete bricks for the load bearing walls of my two storey house. The brick manufacturing units in our local market produce bricks using big hydraulic press and concrete mixers where we are not sure about the quality/quantity of raw materials used, and also no written guarantee on quality or other strength specifications.   Some contractors bring small hand operated.

Chances for collapse of modern houses in earthquake?

I'm curious to know the chances of complete collapse of single storey houses constructed following the modern engineering practices ie. Dry pack rubble foundation+RCC belt+Clay/Concrete brick wall+RCC lintel+RCC roof. How strong earthquakes ie. Richter scale those houses can withstand? Any idea about how many such houses collapsed in recent earthquakes in India? .

Is there any structural importance to sunshade?

I'm planning to avoid the sunshade (extension of lintel to outside) to save the construction cost for my house. So, is there any structural importance to sunshade and can I safely exclude it from my house plan? If yes, what are the low cost alternatives to protect windows from rain water and sun light?.
